Last week my sisters, Cheryl and Cindi, and myself went to the Big Apple for 5 days. Leaving our lives and families behind us(in my case, my roommate Mindy), we left in search for an adventure filled with scary subway rides and thin crust pizza. Unfortunately my sister Tami wasn't able to come because Jackson still has to go everywhere she does. But even though we missed her and wished that she was there, we had a blast! We did just about everything you could possibly do as a first time visitor.
Cindi and I on top of the bus traveling through Times Square, on our way to the Statue of Liberty. It started off as a hot, beautiful, sunny day.......
But it didn't last long! Out of no where it started pouring rain. All of the buses were full and the only place for us to go was on TOP of the bus. They were nice enough to give us ponchos.
Sorry I don't know how to flip the picture. Anyways, here is the Manhattan Temple. We did a session and I couldn't believe how quiet it was for being in a HUGE city. It of course was beautiful inside.
After the temple we had the most amazing panini I have ever had! I still have dreams about it!
There really is a museum for everything!One of my favorite nights was Sunday. It was Cheryl's birthday and my dad was sweet enough to treat us to dinner at Tavern on the Green. It was good food, but I loved the ambiance the most. It was so beautiful inside. After dinner, we walked through Central Park...at least while it was light outside. It was a really fun night.
